Process

From survey to opening day.

Every commission follows the same four stages, with a fixed fee agreed for each.

  1. 01

    Understand

Survey, carbon baseline and conversations with the people who use the place today.

  2. 02

    Test

Retain, extend or rebuild options compared on cost, carbon and public value.

  3. 03

    Design

Planning, technical design and tender, with community review at key moments.

  4. 04

    Deliver

Site supervision to handover, then a full post-occupancy review after a year.

Questions

Before you call.

Anything else? Ask the studio →

What kinds of clients do you work with?

City authorities, cultural institutions, universities and developers who intend to own or steward a building for the long term.

Can you assess a building before we buy it?

Yes. Our two-week Site Readiness Review covers structure, carbon, planning risk and reuse potential — ideal before an acquisition decision.

Do you take on projects outside your studio cities?

We work internationally, usually alongside a local executive architect, and have completed projects in 24 cities.

How are your fees set?

We agree a fixed fee for each stage after an initial free consultation, so you always know the cost of the next decision.
